Shanghai Jianqiao College, founded in April 2000, is a full-time private higher educational institution with the approval of Shanghai Municipal Government. The College has been authorized to recruit three-year and four-year students to offer university diplomas and bachelor degrees.
 
　　The college is jointly invested in by certain entrepreneurs from Wenzhou city in Zhejiang province. It has covered an area of 33.33 hectares and a floor space of 260000 sqm for schoolhouse with a total investment of 600 million RMB by the end of 2009. It has got 60 million RMB worth apparatuses and equipment and a collection of more than 800,000 volumes of books.
 
　　The College now has 9 departments with 35 disciplines and 18 undergraduate majors. The college has 9700 full-time students and more than 700 part-time students of the evening school attached to the college. There are 700 teachers with 400 full-timers
 
　　In the past 9 years, more than 13,000 qualified students graduated from the College, and they are highly appreciated by society and their employees for their good comprehensive quality and solid command of fundamental knowledge as well as their practical skills. The employment rates are higher than the average of other similar colleges in Shanghai.

　　In-Semester Classes (March to mid-May or September to December):
　　Spring Classes:2-4 weeks   Autumn Classes: 2-4 weeks
　　Summer Classes: From mid-May to early July: 4-6 weeks
 
　　Applicant Eligibility
　　Those whose ages are from 16 and 60, healthy. Having a valid ordinary foreign passport and a valid visa or Chinese Residence Permit.
 
　　Application Procedure:
　　Submit Application Form, For Foreigners to Study at Shanghai Jianqiao College, (available at Foreign Exchanges Office or Website of the School),
　　Indicate the type of room you intend to have and the estimated check-in date.
　　The room will be arranged and provided according to the application sequence and the vacancies. If reserved in advance, it will be kept for 3 days including the day for estimated-check-in.

　　Registration Procedure:
　　Pay the tuition and room fee in full in cash on the first day of the class
　　Submit 2 passport photos (3cm×4cm) and
　　Have the passport and the valid visa checked
　　Take the Chinese level placement test (oral & written).
　　Attend the opening ceremony.

　　Having a visa and advisable to have medical & accidental insurance by yourself before entering into school（It is acceptable for short-term studies with an L visa）
