Pandas enjoy a “birthday cake” made of carrots, bamboo shoots and apples frozen in ice at the Shanghai Wildlife Park yesterday in celebration of their second birthday. Ten pandas are on loan from Sichuan Province to thrill World Expo visitors. A documentary on their journey of growing-up was released yesterday and will be broadcast on local TV networks, park officials said. The young pandas were moved to the park from the Shanghai Zoo last week and have been getting used to their new environment after a week’s acclimatization.
